The Thief Lord 29 05 06

Filed under: 5 star, action, adventure, book, family, fantasy, film, mystery — Robyn @ 0000

Ever since I heard the wonderful book by Cornelia Funke was being turned into a film, I knew I had to see it.

The plot

The thief Lord is one of the best books of all time, it follows the story of the two orphans Prosper and Bo, who flee to venice out of the fear of being seperated. There the mysterious Thief Lord finds them, and they are thrown into a dangerous journey of magic and adventure.

The good bits

The film stuck to the book very well, it had some hilarious jokes in it, and the actors playing the children were obviously made for playing their part

The bad bits

It was not that scary, and prehaps older children would not enjoy it as much as a child under 15 would not enjoy it as much.

The rating I would give it is 5 stars!!!! :D

  1. [...] This is a really good book, as I said, not quite a Harry Potter, but still 4 stars. It is one of those books which is amazingly exstrodiary (it sounds weird, sort of like a tongue twister), just not really discover yet, like the secret of the sirens. The thief lord used to be in this catograry, but now it has been discovered and made in to a movie, as I hope this one will be soon [...]
