Pirates of the Caribbean 2 09 07 06

I saw “pirates of the Caribbean” a while back, and loved it. I am not sure if I liked the second on quite so much.

Good Bits

This film had loads of funny jokes in it, my favourite part was when all of the pirates were trying to escape from a cannibal island, which was hilarious. Also, the actors were great and the way the movie was made was really good.

The bad bits

The plot was strange, and some of the things were a bit similiar. Also, it is quite long, 149 minutes.

What is really annoying is that it ended on a cliffhanger, with lots of problems still to be solved. I will have to see the next one!

The Thief Lord 29 05 06

Ever since I heard the wonderful book by Cornelia Funke was being turned into a film, I knew I had to see it.

The plot

The thief Lord is one of the best books of all time, it follows the story of the two orphans Prosper and Bo, who flee to venice out of the fear of being seperated. There the mysterious Thief Lord finds them, and they are thrown into a dangerous journey of magic and adventure.

The good bits

The film stuck to the book very well, it had some hilarious jokes in it, and the actors playing the children were obviously made for playing their part

The bad bits

It was not that scary, and prehaps older children would not enjoy it as much as a child under 15 would not enjoy it as much.

The rating I would give it is 5 stars!!!! 😀
